Infinite Legacy’s Hospital Services Department works directly with healthcare professionals to build an organ, eye and tissue donation culture within hospitals, funeral homes and other healthcare institutions. We are there to ensure the understanding and knowledge of the organ donation process at hospitals in Maryland, Northern Viriginia and Washington, DC.
We are dedicated to equipping our healthcare partners with maintaining hospital compliance with:
- The Joint Commission policies
- CMS Conditions of Participation
- The Uniform Anatomical Gift Act
- Amoss Act
Continuing Education and Training Opportunities
Infinite Legacy provides on-site education through unit-based in-services, special events, regular rounding and one-on-one coaching for our healthcare partners and professionals. Additionally, they will have opportunities to participate in:
- Educational forums
- Donation Relation Specialist (DRS) Training
- Seminars
- Continued education
We also recognize that our hospital and funeral home partners are crucial in fulfilling our mission to help our communities and support our donor families. All healthcare and funeral home partners have access to free continued education and training.
We ensure our healthcare partners understand all steps and procedures during the organ, eye and tissue donation process. By partnering together, we can best support our donor families in receiving the best comprehensive end-of-life care, including the opportunity and resources to make informed decisions about organ, eye and tissue donation.
